Welcome

NoToxRox was born out of infuriating frustration.

Like most mums when I found out I was pregnant I started to pay a bit more attention to what I put in and on my body.  With each pregnancy I kept learning more and more unbelievable facts about the toxins we are exposed to relentlessly. When I think about the things I thought I was doing right 8 years ago, and now know were unknowingly harming myself and my baby, it makes my contaminated blood boil. This chemical researching pastime of mine soon became my obsession.

What about all those people out there who don’t know this stuff? What about all those mums who assume as I did, that government bodies,  industry regulators or somebody is looking out for our best interests?  What about all those pregnant Australian women who are using personal care products containing chemicals that are banned in Europe and the US? Banned because they are known to cause gender bending birth defects in babies.  Who’s looking out for us?

That was when I quickly realised it was time to take matters into my own dry, wrinkled, sodium laurel sulphated hands.

The more research I did the madder I got and the louder I screamed to anyone who would listen.

So evolved NoToxRox which for me is my place to vent and pass on every little bit of knowledge I learn to you.  It’s your place to find answers without even asking the questions, to find out which products are safe for your family and to take an active role in your family’s health.  Hopefully my obsession will become your pastime.
